"We stay at this quietly elegant hotel just off I 5 as a respite on trips between WA and CA. The garden view, the cafe, the comfortable rooms are refreshing for us, and we charge the EV at the SemaConnect station there!"

- Breck

"This property is a hidden vintage gem! The decor was adorable and the room was squeaky clean! The staff were kind and the continental breakfast was fresh and bountiful. I can’t wait to come back in the warmer months and enjoy more of the amenities!"

- Melissa

"This is a gem of a hotel! Super cute, retro and beautifully decorated! I had a superior king, which was HUGE! Lots of space, sitting area. Every room has a balcony. The restaurant on site is awesome. I had one of the best BLT's ever. Service with a smile. I will defiantly return. This is like a mini resort, great pool, spa and the breakfast in the AM was a great addition. Well Done!"

- Brigid

"Stunning retro 1950s Palm Springs poolside resort style hotel. The restaurant and bar Luna is top notch. The interior design is beautiful from the lobby to the bathroom countertops. Full functioning pool and hot tub available during the day with expansive views of the Ashland foothills. Highly recommend."

- Nicholas

"Excellent Hotel Stay" We were driving up to Washington, and stopped @ Ashland Hills Hotel. We arrived later in the evening and were greeted so kindly and enthusiastically. The Room was beautiful and spacious and very clean and organized. The comfort of the bed was an A+++. Will book with Ashland Hotel, again and again. Loved It!!"

- James

“Trip to coast” This is a wonderful hotel. I highly recommend staying. Very clean retro 70’s, extremely friendly staff. I will definitely be back. Maybe for the chocolate festival held here in March. Stay here if you are ever in Ashland."

"Wanna go to outer space? Wanna experience a galactic cocktail? Wanna sleep on a floating cloud? Want an adventure? Do u like super retro furniture and decor that will rocket u into the stars? Want to dip into a Milky Way hot tub? Want to eat in a new age cafe? Wow fly me to the moon and back!!! This is a stellar hotel!! You can get your exercise just by trying to find your room cause the grounds are as big as the cosmos. But they have a nice little fitness suite. The breakfast is continental, like you would find on Earth. The Luna cafe has some good basic breakfast things since u are on the go. They do have good food for later on. Super groovy cafe with neat local merchandise as well. The front desk crew was as organized  as any bridge on a cool spaceship. I felt like I was in a Star Trek tv show blended with The Jetsons! Even Lost in Space since it's a maze of a complex. Needs a bit more directions and signage it's a maze. Hubby loved the Luna Cafe. Nice layout over all. Oh it's partially built into the hillside and don't be afraid when see Hwy 5 right near, this place is quiet and heavenly! Land your space shuttle here, you won't want to leave."

- Cindi

"Best hotel on a two week road trip of Oregon. We did a two week road trip of all of Oregon and this hotel was by far our favorite. The hotel is an awesome renovation of a sixties art deco style property. The property is spacious and the rooms are large. Staff was the best staff we experienced on our vacation. The hotel has a great lounge called Luna and it was terrific place to grab dinner and drinks (with the kids or without). This resort would be a good fit for a family (like ours - we have two kids), couples, or groups. Very impressed with this place."

“Wonderful stay” Our four night stay at Ashland Hills was a wonderful experience. We stayed in a pet suite overlooking the valley. The property has been completely and tastefully renovated. The rooms were quiet clean and well maintained. The 14 acres are well groomed and have the feel of being in the country. We look forward to our return.

“Absolutely excellent place to stay!” This place was awesome! I don't ever give hotel ratings of 5 because I think there's always room for improvement. Don't really know how this place could improve on itself. Room was huge, immaculate, quiet & convenient to downtown A phenomenal value!

OldHippieGal

“Very pleased” We chose this based on reviews here and on BringFido, which gave us a vey good price on same-day booking of the queen accessible suite, which was free-upgraded to a king suite on our arrival. For less than we paid last trip for the La Quinta, we got lots more space, a view of the hills (across the rear parking lot), good breakfast (perfect hard boiled eggs that were easy to peel and beautiful color of the yolks), quiet room, and an extra-comfortable bed. We'll stay here again. The Caldera Brewing Co down the street was really good too.

We drive from Sacramento several times a year and always drive straight through to Battle Ground Wa. This will now become our stop. Outstanding suites and very helpful and thoughtful people. Glad we discovered this.

Jane

Freeway convenient, clean & comfortable. We love Ashland, but on this trip were just passing through so decided to stay close to freeway for easy off/on. This is one of the nicest hotels of that sort that we've experienced.

Beatriz

Good: I loved the suite! It was like a little getaway in a beautiful small town. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. The room offered two televisions and a nice shower with two sinks.

What a treat!. We stayed here on our last leg of a cross country road trip. Our night here was a departure from the many nights spent in mid-range motels. With its fun and creatively re-invented 70s decor, original artwork, sprawling grounds and excellent self-serve breakfast, it was a stand out! Courteous and friendly staff too.

Jjamon

Good: Reasonably priced. Lovely suite ln newly renovated building. Quiet, clean & spacious. Comfortable sitting area & bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Easy access to downtown. Well appointed lobby. Was serendipitous. Bad: Liked everything. Nothing not to like.

Jm

Good: A beautifully renovated resort hotel with high-end design touches at a bargain price. The quiet room and comfy bed let us get one of the best night's sleep of our whole trip. Bad: A little ways from downtown Ashland, but then it is close to I-5

Richard Templeton

I just had the pleasure to be a part of the first wedding since some of the major renovations (as the wedding DJ). Stunning, elegant atmosphere! I live in southern Oregon but if we wanted a little getaway across town, this is the place.

Mary

Stayed at this hotel years ago. Has been redone in last few years. Kinda funky early 60's motif. Nice breakfast. Said it was a continental breakfast, but had oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes...much more than “continental”

Christine

Good: Super clean, well priced, great friendly staff. Loved...the bed. More hotels should pay attention to one of the most important aspects...comfortable sleep! This hotel accomplished that. Will stay again…

Lewis

One night stay. This hotel has a perfect location and environment around. Close to I5 and gas stations, car wash and restaurants, very convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable, my family liked it.

Great alternative to B&B. The hotel is undergoing renovations in a very 70's style - quirky and fun! It's not luxury but is very nice and comparable to the newer chain locations (e.g., Holiday Inn Express and such). The accommodations are very comfortable, the breakfast buffet is step above the typical chain - the pancake machine was kinda fun too. We didn't use the pool and spa due to schedule but they looked clean and tidy. It was very efficient and quiet. We often stay in town at a B&B, this was a nice change of pace and definitely more economical. We'd stay again.

This hotel is soo hip. The grounds are beautiful. The mattresses are super comfortable. They are still doing renovations but noise wasn't bad. Customer service is great. The continental breakfast was a little better than average. I was very impressed, my kids wanted to stay longer!! We will definitely stay here again. It feels more like a resort than a hotel.

So many good things have been said in previous reviews and it's still all true! We stopped for one night on a long trip and found a beautiful and quiet place for rest and relaxation. The bed was so comfortable! Staff was very kind and servicing, nice atmosphere all around. Recommended for a stay!!

“Great Place to Stay in Ashland” We spent the weekend at the hotel. The price was very reasonable for the Ashland area. The hotel was very convenient to I-5. Our king bed room was large and very comfortable. The bed was more than comfortable. The breakfast was better than many competitive hotels.

“Outstanding suites and service” It's been a long time since I was so impressed by a hotel, especially one that is older and has been renovated. But Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites is a gem! They have kept the original charm of their architecture and landscape design. They have wonderful (original?) mid-century modern accents in their furniture and artwork throughout. Our suite was truly 2 rooms; living/kitchen and bedroom. The bath was accessible from both rooms. There is a whole building of suites and another building attached to lobby of regular rooms. All suites had a small balcony with 2 chairs, and ours had a beautiful view of the hills to the East. The rooms were clean with a sink, coffee maker, small frig, microwave and toaster. The front desk people were fantastic and rushed to help out when we needed linens for the pull-out sofa. The continental breakfast was fine, served in the mezzanine of lobby area. We loved all the old lamps, art, furniture etc in this area. Very funky! This is also a conference hotel with ballroom and conference rooms. Overall, I loved it.

We arrived from So Cal on Sunday. We had been driving for about 12 hours. The hotel is beautiful and clean. We asked to be placed where we could see the rolling hills. They upgraded us at no extra charge. We love our stay!!! The front desk staff were so nice! The beds clean and very comfy. Bathroom very clean. The FLOOR is even comfy to walk on. (if you could picture that) LOL I would highly recommend staying here. The pics are beautiful but you need to see the hotel and we're it's nestled at to truly appreciate what I am talking about!

Joe Alexander

Great service. Funky Mid-Century Modern décor. Highly recommend it.

Best place in town.

“SURPRISING chic luxury” Very sprawling trendy hotel. I felt like I walked into a time warp.

“Clean Comfy and delicious breakfast!” The rooms are huge and very clean! Retro 70's style. The hotel is very big but everyone is friendly. We have stayed in many hotels lately and this was the best so far. They advertise a continental breakfast but it was better than all of the “full” breakfasts we encountered. They had steel cut oatmeal, pancakes, fresh berries and other fruit, fresh yogurt, bagels and more. Everything was delicious! They even got us some soy milk for my daughter who is lactose intolerant. We only stayed one night but I wish we could have stayed longer. The price at $84 was very reasonable and the location right off I-5. It was very quiet though. I would stay here any time I come to Ashland!

Sarina

Good: The rooms were huge! Everything was perfectly clean and the breakfast was amazing. It states that it is a continental breakfast, but it was way beyond pastries and coffee. There was fresh yogurt, steel cut oatmeal, pancakes and lots of fresh fruit. We would come often and at a price of $84 per night on a Friday, it was a steal!
Bad: Nothing!

We found this place by semi-chance. It was an acceptable range coming from Seattle on our way home to SF. The website made it look like a nice spot with a reasonable price. I upgraded us to the king suite b/c the price difference was negligible. I couldn't have been more impressed starting on the arrival. The ambiance and decor his spot on. Garrett was at the front desk and he couldn't have been a nicer person! Very jolly and cordial. They did a GREAT job with the renovation. A lot of the bones they left but refurbished and what the choose to do so with were all excellent choices and really stuck with the ambiance. It feels like a very Mad Men era ambiance but contemporary at the same time. And the bed.... WOW. Incredibly comfortable. The room was very spacious with all of the creature comforts you could want. A week long stay would be a very comfortable one. Beautiful property too! Can't recommend a stay here more!

Tina

Unusual architecture and newly renovated. Very nice atmosphere with lots of amenities.

“A Great Place” Was visiting friends at Shakespeare Fest. This place was fantastic!

Carol

“will come again” We liked it so much that we stayed there on the way home too. Very nice, quiet helpful and clean.

Nicole B.

This hotel was an absolutely delightful and lovely surprise at the end of a long day of travel. The lobby was super chic and the night front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful in advising us on restaurants (and he did not steer us wrong!). The room was clean, neat, and stylish. The beds were dreamy... and since we were only there one night, that alone was worth 4 of the 5 stars. We had the very nice hot tub to ourselves in the crisp night air. The hotel was quiet and pets were allowed. I can't believe how affordable it was. A truly perfect stay. I will definitely stay here again.

Andrea W.

I've been to Ashland a million times and had my go to places to stay but everything was booked. This was decently close to town so I thought I'd give it a try. Very happily surprised! Wow! Great remodeling job. Cute decor. Clean. Spacious grounds. Large field next door for dogs. Easy parking. Quiet. Safe. Rooms are very nice. Beds were super cozy! Could not believe it was dog friendly. Super affordable too! Definitely will stay here again !

“Wow with a capital “W”” Wow with a capital “W”. A must stay if you are passing through beautiful Ashland. I am guessing this is a summer destination and that's why we got this suite for under $70. Let me tell you I was in no hurry to leave! Spacious 1 bdrm clean apt, the most comfy beds ive stayed on in a hotel, beautiful “lodgy” design. Great open breakfast area. Cant wait to stay here again!

Kathleen

Good: I have stayed here in the past and would not stay anywhere else. Top notch rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was a bonus! Overall, Ashland Hills always exceeds my expectations.

Susan

Very retro. The hotel was great. Has a very fun 60's vibe that is quite enjoyable. Great location if you are heading out on the 5. We stayed in a spacious suite that was also good value.

Jose

Good: Stayed in the suites, it was absolutely amazing! Great views and amazing staff! Great rates and located just off the highway. I would stay there again and again.

“Classic motor lodge” Nice retro motor hotel circa 1970. Recent owners have refurbished the hotel to its past glory -- lots of 60's & 70's era furniture with space age themes, many suites (an entire separate building of suites), nice pool and spa, good views of surrounding southern Oregon mountains and valleys.Pretty good breakfast -- better than the standard Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn fare -- surprisingly good coffee. Ballrooms, tennis and a separate dance pavillion. Right off I5. Bit of a distance from central Ashland but understand this is a very small town and that means it's only a mile & a half or so. Breakfast area is clad in the beige, white and orange of my mother's living room. Great place to get a good deal and have a fun nostalgic stayover in a really cool little city.

“Quick getaway” Wow! What a great find. I travel a lot and this hotel has it all and the best part is it won't hurt your wallet!!! Room has kitchen, separate living room, sink in bedroom and separate bathroom. Continental breakfast was perfect and not cheesy. Bagels pancakes yogurt fruit hard boiled eggs. The property is very well maintained and immaculate. This should be the standard for all hotels!

Christina W

“Great stop over” We recently stayed here on our trip from the Bay Area to Portland. It's a nice, clean hotel with very comfortable beds! The breakfast and coffee in the AM are a good addition, so you can eat and hit the road. Also, Caldera Brewery is a block a way and is a great place for dinner

Tom

Nice place right off the freeway. We just stopped overnight to sleep during a long trip from Washington to California. We were impressed with the large, clean, quiet room. The decor was retro '70s, kinda cool. We didn't take time to check out the neighborhood.

Bradley C.

I absolutely loved this hotel! WAY under rated, Priceline only has this hotel at 2 stars but this hotel is easily 3 stars and can even be a 4 star hotel. The decor is so cool, the rooms where super clean and the bed was plush and comfortable. The breakfast that was included in are stay was good and fresh. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place, and to top it all off they are super pet friendly. I paid $79 to stay here but I feel they could easily charge $100-$120 a night.

Alan-Candi Cabudol

Our family loves the hotel. Stayed there while visiting Medford. Spacious suites and very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view from our balcony. Will definitely stay there again.

Michael

“ASHLAND WAS RAD!” super nice hotel great lobby great decor feels brand new! pool is huge hot tube was nice B fast was good.

Robin Sputhe

I have stayed here multiple times now. Nice rooms, good atmosphere, and helpful employees. My preferred stop along the 5 in Oregon.

I was kind of blown away when I walked into my room. It was huge by most standards and the interior design was nicely done in a style I like. It was simple, clean and bit eclectic. Nothing more than is necessary, nothing overstated, but everything unique and well put together. It was comfortable. Simple wood dresser, desk and end…

Unexpected oasis after a long day" Stopped on my way to Lakeside, OR after a LONG 10 hour drive. Was really amazed at the general appearance of your property. Immaculate, beautifully landscaped, lots of parking. Reserved a room and got a suite for same price. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Just what I needed after a 10 hour drive.

Dave V.

We used to stay here when it was the Windmill and we are totally stoked on the new ownership! The suites have been almost completely renovated and the service is outstanding! Continental breakfast included in the morning and it's the closest exit/entrance on your way to Mt. Ashland, only about 30-40 minutes to the parking lot/lodge.

Andrew Evans

What a treat-clean, friendly staff and we would stay.there again. Loved the art and furniture collection.

Erika Lowe

Remodel is a fitting tribute to 70's style.

Jeannene

“Best kept secret in Ashland” I love this hotel. It is all new. They take pride in everything.

Linda

The staff here is impeccable, the attention to detail is impeccable, and the quality of this hotel is impeccable! It was unfortunate we only had one night here - this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Slipping into bed in your room will feel like you are sleeping in a cloud! This is resort living at it's best, and they really do know how to make your stay here enjoyable. Beautifully appointed rooms, maximum cleanliness, and high class service is what you will find.

Clyde

Good: 눇The suite was laid out well. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Our suite quickly became a home away from home.

James Goodell

Was pleasantly surprised upon arriving with just the size and upkeep of hotel and was even more surprised on the quality of the room and for the price I can't think of a motel in the rogue valley I would choose to stay over Ashland Hills Hotel and suites...I would definitely stay here again and will for sure now come to think of it.

Perfect Vintage 70s Glam Experience" In an era where all the cool hotels built in the car-frenzied era of the 1940's through the 1970's get stripped of their character and replaced with "modern" amenities, it's tremendous to see a hotel that embraces it's past. In the case of the Ashland Hills Hotel, it's the glamorous side of the 1970's. With many of the original light fixtures, artwork and geometric, open beam architecture, this hotel represents a perfect value. We stayed in the hotel twice within a week on our road trip, and both times had a fantastic experience

The rooms are "modern" and well-appointed, the lobby is stylish and welcoming and the folks at the front desk were really friendly. The restaurant was being remodeled while we were there, but upstairs from the lobby there was a nice free continental breakfast. The vintage enthusiast in me enjoyed exploring the conference room area where much of the original design elements endure. The big hall has some of the most beautiful lightning I've ever seen. While it's located right on the highway as you cruise into town, it's convenient enough to downtown Ashland (5 min), and 2 minute drive to Caldera Brewing Co where we ate. Twice.
