For outdoor enthusiasts, Lithia Park is a 93-acre park featuring miles of hiking trails, two ponds, a Japanese garden, tennis courts, a bandshell, and two public greens. Nearly half of its acreage is on the National Register of Historic Places. It begins near the downtown shopping district and extends upstream along Ashland Creek.
Another great outdoor option is the Bear Creek Greenway, a paved intercity biking trail that begins in downtown Ashland and offers up to 25 miles of exploration between Ashland and Central Point, passing through Talent, Phoenix, and Medford.
